Alex Kelly

Lawyer

Alex is the founder and principal of Foundation Law Group. In 2018, Alex was recognised by the Law Society of NSW and accredited as a specialist in planning and environment law.

In addition to his practice, Alex is a legal academic. He lectures in Planning and Environment Law at the University of Sydney through the Law Extension Committee.

Alex has worked exclusively in the planning and development sector for over 15 years. He has worked for both regional and metropolitan firms, focusing primarily on development law.

Alex has also worked as in-house counsel for one of the largest local councils in NSW, which has given him a unique perspective on local government and development. In his various roles, Alex has advised both private clients and a variety of local councils across New South Wales.

Alex has keen insight into the development process and has found it most effective to be involved in the application process from the outset to avoid potential complications at later stages.

As a result, Foundation Law Group offers a broader scope of services than most other law firms in the development area. Alex will assist you from the beginning of your development, through to the very end.

Alex has made a career from working with problem sites and finding creative solutions to meet development outcomes that are both commercial and responsible.

Steve

Lawyer

At Foundation Law Group we believe every client has a right to expert representation and service. Our compensation division is run by Steve Baker who has a decade of experience dealing primarily in personal injury compensation, building and construction litigation and coal mine subsidence claims.

Steve has acted in most courts and tribunals including the High Court, the NSW Supreme Court, the District Court, NCAT, NSW Land & Environment Court and the Administrative Appeals Tribunal.

Outside of work Steve enjoys surfing, running his local rugby league club, exercise and spending time with his family.
